Being Thankful

If you have food in your fridge, clothes on your back, a roof overhead, and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of the world.

thanks-1804597_1280The word 'thanks' is only worth 12 points in a game of Scrabble, but in reality, saying thanks and giving thanks is worth much more.

How blessed are we?  Years ago, when I was a young mother and working at a greasy-spoon cafe, I was part of a conversation with a co-worker and a patron.  The topic of discussion was money or the lack there of.  Our customer, an older woman, interjected to fill us in on this secret.  She stated, "If your biggest worry is money than you have nothing to worry about."  Her reference, of course, was to health; as I recall she had lost her husband to an illness of some sort a few months earlier. I have remembered and reflected on her comment many times over the last 20 years, and have made a choice to count my blessings instead of my short-comings.

"Feeling gratitude and not expressing  it is like wrapping a present and not giving it" - William Arthur Ward

At Enercept, we are grateful for many things.  With Thanksgiving Day just a week away, it seems appropriate to express our gratitude. Trust me, the list is long but can be condensed into four categories:

  1. Employees, our dedicated team who shows up day in and day out to get the job done and give us their A game to provide our customers with a great product and great customer service.
  2. Suppliers, from the fine companies that provide us with the raw materials our structural insulated panels are made of - to the suppliers of our day to day operating needs and our municipal utilities.  We could not stay in business without them.
  3. Professionals and colleagues in the SIP Industry, providing knowledge and expertise that helps Enercept grow and improve.  This category includes SIPA, code officials, those in the green building industry, home builder associations, building science professionals, and code testing authorities.
  4. And last, but not least, our customers, the key component to our success.  Our builders, SIP installers and independent dealers, who bring us repeat business, individual homeowners, developers, architects, timber framers, log home builders, municipalities, commercial builders, congregations, Habitat for Humanity, and others who have all put their faith in Enercept to provide quality SIPs to make their dreams a reality.

We are also grateful for our Military and are mindful that because many of these men and women are called to duty, they will be separated from their families this holiday season.

Remember, there is always something to be thankful for - Happy Thanksgiving from everyone at Enercept.

Our Mission: Our Commitment
