Enercept’s solid core of expanded polystyrene (EPS) virtually eliminates the thermal bridging, or cold spots,
common with traditional insulation. Moreover, Enercept's insulation maintains its integrity over time
and won’t settle or absorb moisture. Your SIP home can be 2.5 times stronger than other homes;
laminating the exterior and interior of the EPS core with oriented strand board (OSB) gives the SIPs an I-beam-like strength.
Because you are insulating, sheathing, and framing in just one step, you can save time — and money — in
construction. Moreover, since the entire inside wall is sheathed with 7/16” OSB, hanging sheetrock,
cabinets, curtains, and pictures easier and faster than in other homes.
