The PATH study surveyed 24 builders in areas where building activity is heaviest. The results of the survey indicated the following as "key factors" in a builder's decision to integrate panels into their building practices:
Many builders also indicated that they were seeing an increase in business opportunities as a result of using panels. Because of the decrease in project length, some builders have been able to expand their businesses.
The PATH study also states:
"Among those who serve the affordable housing market, the energy efficiency attributes of panels was found to be a key factor in their use, especially since these builders indicated that there is little difference between the cost of panels and stick construction."
