Structural Roof Panels

Structural roof panels create a spacious, vaulted ceiling which compliments any style of home. Roof panels have a core of EPS insulation adhered to OSB sheathing and are connected by a solid 2x member installed at the factory. Panels span from the top of the wall system to the peak of the roof where they rest upon a ridge beam supplied by Enercept.

The typical roof panel is composed of a core of EPS (expanded polystyrene) insulation laminated between OSB (oriented strand board) sheathing. Other sheathing options such as FRP, metal, or plywood are available depending on your structure's needs. Typical panel size is 4' in width by up to 20' in length. Insulation thickness varies depending on desired R-value and area loading bearing requirements. Structural roof panels are connected by a factory-installed 2x member. Wiring is installed at the factory with the Enercept patented system (patent #4852310).

Gable and structural roof panels can easily incorporate skylights.
