Enercept Homes Featured in NAHB Green Building Conference
Two homes being built with Enercept Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS) will be featured at the 2007 National Association of Home Builders’ National Green Building Conference in St. Louis, MO March 25th through March 27th.
The Green Building Tour of Homes will include the 2007 Vision House™ being built by Belcher Homes, Wildwood, MO in conjunction with Ecos Materials of St. Louis featuring Enercept SIPS. The projects set a new standard for custom homes. With an R-40 Enercept insulated roof panel and R-22 Enercept insulated wall panel, the homes will be environmentally friendly and inexpensive to heat and cool.
The National Green Building Conference will provide the latest information about the green building market. In addition to the many product and service exhibitors the Conference will include technical expertise and educational sessions on construction, environment, conservation, energy, recycling, finance and marketing.
Matt Belcher, President of the St. Louis Home Builders Association and owner of Belcher Homes states, “There are more than 32,000 houses nationwide officially designated as being green, and many more that incorporate some form of green building techniques. The average new house is 100% more energy efficient than one built just 30 years ago.” Building with Enercept Structural Insulated Panels is one of those green building techniques.
In addition to having two homes on the Green Building Tour of Homes, Enercept, along with Ecos Materials, is one of the corporate sponsors for the Conference.
