Energy Efficiency - Insulation

After years of saving money for a home, isn't it time a house saved money for you?

Heating and cooling is typically the largest home expense after the mortgage payment.

Enercept homes use an average of 50% less energy than conventionally framed homes.

No need to worry when it's cold outside, Enercept SIPs will keep you warm - even in the most extreme conditions.

Enercept Energy Case Study

Two identical homes were constructed in 1981.

  • One home was built using 2x6's and fiberglass batt insulation.
  • One home was built with the Enercept Superinsulated Building System.

Both homes were heated with natural gas. Heating costs were measured in 1983, with the Enercept home resulting in a 50% savings. Costs were measured again in 1998. After 15 years, the Enercept homeowner is saving 57% over the conventionally built home!

You don't have to take our word for it!

"Our house is 1,878 square feet, and it is heated electrically. My father-in-law's house is also heated electrically and is much smaller than ours. When we compare our electric bills during the winter, I can definitely see the added advantage of building with the Enercept Building System."

R.C. Kenmare, ND

"In general we found the house to be extremely well constructed with regard to air infiltration. Our estimate of the natural infiltration rate for the residence is 0.17 air changes per hour (ACH). By comparison, typical site-built homes constructed today experience a natural infiltration rate of between 0.35 and 0.50 ACH. The occupants can expect significant energy savings."

"We used Enercept panels as the outside shell of our house. It cut our heating bills by more than half. We would recommend Enercept panels to everyone who is interested in saving money!"
