Enercept Earns FSC Chain Of Custody Certification

Watertown, SD – Enercept Inc, a manufacturer of energy efficient structural insulated panels (SIPS), has met the qualifications and has earned the right to use FSC Certified forest products in the production of their SIP panels. 

Lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council A. C. (FSC) has been harvested from forests that meet stringent environmental, social and economic standards. FSC tracks the use of these forest products from their planting & harvest through their final use. 

Enercept and Enercept structural insulated panels have been independently certified (Certification Registration Number: SCS-COC-001525) by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) in accordance with the rules of the FSC. 

“We have found that FSC Certified Lumber is being specified more and more frequently in green building projects.” Sites an Enercept spokesperson. “FSC Certified Lumber is an excellent fit to structural insulated panels, which are already environmentally friendly.” 

Enercept will also continue to offer SIPS manufactured with non-certified wood products.
